Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contractor Sales Representative with a strong background in lumber and building materials. This role is all about building and maintaining relationships with contractors, managing accounts, and driving sales growth.

The ideal candidate will blend technical knowledge, relationship management, and business development skills to help customers succeed — and help Wood Shed Supply continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with new and existing customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activity, and customer accounts.
  • Prepare and present professional quotes and proposals in a timely manner.
  • Read blueprints and assist in creating materials take-off lists. 
  • Partner with inside sales staff to ensure accurate pricing, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Visit job sites to ensure customer satisfaction and continued support.
  • Stay up to date on building codes, new products, and best practices.
  • Develop strong vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to company sales personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Proven success in contractor or outside sales within lumber/building materials.
  • Strong knowledge of lumber, engineered products, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred).
  • Highly motivated, goal-driven, and customer-focused.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Computer Software and familiar with ERP or POS systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
